These prints are so much fun to work on, I have a hard time doing anything else.
They are made using an original Color My World™ drawing that has been imported to my computer. The drawing is then manually traced and colored digitally. It's a whole New World for me to explore... and very exciting.
I print my images on premium glossy photo paper, said to never fade for 108 years... The clarity and overall quality are outstanding! My house will soon be filled floor to ceiling with prints. I guess I'll need to invest in some frames.
All prints are done in short run batches of 150, and will be signed, dated and numbered on the front. I ship the prints flat in bend proof rigid mailers. They are also protectively placed in a plastic sleeve for proper storage and damage resistant handling.
Color My World™ is a new concept - Artist Made Coloring Pages. It is an Original Drawing on paper that has been sealed to allow you to color or paint how ever you like... Yes, like a page from a Coloring Book, only it is an Original.
So, you can color and
put it on the wall in your house, give as a gift, or.......SELL IT on

my daughter, Leia, had a great idea this morning... "daddy, let's go and pick some pretty flowers for mommy before (her lazy ass) she gets out of bed (9am or so...) Great idea, Leia! Lets go...
we got dill, yarrow and lilies (yellow
... ok, so my wife sleeps late... and I get up early...
so do the kids, get up early that is..... hmmmm
but these flowers are cool!
and I really love my wife, she's not lazy... most of the time :P
So, I started by finding some pictures online and made a sketch
I helps me to color it in and outline so I can see the shapes I need to make, and coloring helps when mixing colors, so there's not soo much guess work.
This image has several small parts, so I knew from the beginning that it was going to be really big. And it is, and will last for a very, very long time :)
I mixed the colors and got ready to assemble, roll, shape, smooth....
To make the mixing easier, and to keep the color the same, I used a 1-1 type of ratio so the color color could be reproduced without irregularity.
If you have ever tried to get a color without a recipe and you need a lot of it, you probably know what I'm talking about.... It is not so fun to mix a 1lb. amount that needs just a little more white UGH!
Well, the rest of the project the pictures will show what I did.
I don't have a final image, but I think you get the picture... Making shapes and building it out...
So, there you go.
www.littlebitoflove.com Wow, I love having online exposure.
I just finished the first cut of our businesses website for handmade beads, jewelry and our KidFace Fund-Raising Jewelry. It's pretty fun to work with websites. Now it's time to figure out how to get exposure in this saturated pool of information.
Selling our handmade goods had been non-existent until my wife and I found Etsy.com and set up our two shops there: little bit of love and scott garrette . Now we can list and sell everything we make... and we make lots of things. Jewelry, polymer beads, pendants, drawings, paintings, coloring pages and more...
Etsy.com has really helped us in our move to self-employment. Our handmade polymer beads are really becoming popular in the jewelry making arena. Selling our jewelry has proven difficult, but the exposure from Etsy.com has helped us reach a broader market.
I used to live in Lawrence, KS and made art, paintings mostly then on to pottery... I had a hell of a time getting my work out there. I didn't like to drive around very much, so I couldn't check out potential venues. I was stuck in a selling void with all my work. I hosted a few open house events that were fairly successful (mostly with pottery.) Getting the word out about my work was tough. My sales skills are minimal, and marketing didn't exist. Then came the world of the internet... and Etsy.com. AWESOME
Now, it's time to take it to another level and really get our work out to the world -lol. So, come on by and check out what my wife and I do all day. www.littlebitoflove.com
